Getting started is straightforward. Meet these acceptance requirements:

  1. Government Issued ID
  2. SSN (State and reporting requirement)
  3. HS Diploma or Equivalency (Required no later than class 3)
    • Foreign Docs must have an “Evaluation” that is equivalent to a HS Diploma or higher. (NOT a translation)
    • Transcripts must have a graduation date visible (even college transcripts).
    • NO Wonderlic Allowed (TXRDA requires mailed in proof of HS Diploma, HS Equivalency, or GED)
  4. Immunizations or Declination
  5. Must sign an Enrollment Packet
    • Enrollment Packet Includes State Required: Enrollment Agreement, CSC-005, CSC-010, Declination, Tour Form

State exam requirements: 1 Exam (RDA)

Minimum age: Yes—only with a HS diploma, can a person apply at 17 (with parent permission, signed on the Enrollment Agreement). This is part of the requirement to take the RDA Exam with THSCSA.

Radiography: RDA - Exam

Credentials on completion:

  • “Certificate of Completion”
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Certified through the American Heart Association
  • RDA “Registered Dental Assistant” (Only after taking the Exam & receiving your RDA from the TSBDE-Texas State Board of Dental Examiners)
